I am honored to have received the request, trust, and support to establish and organize the Microsoft Security User Group with a great team of talented people. This article will detail the purpose, plan, and resources for this community and how you can engage.
Purpose
The purpose is to support our society to strengthen the IT-security practice and competency. By create a safe meeting space for people across industries, organizations, companies, and specializations who are curious and eager to learn, share, discuss, and discover relevant problem statements within cyber security and Microsoft technology.
Plan
Microsoft Cybersecurity Reference Architecture, where to start?
The plan is to systematically break down the Microsoft Cybersecurity Reference Architecture through events to support the journey to grow the participants cybersecurity knowledge and skillset. The form will vary between:
- Presentations
- Workshops
- Hackathons
- Technical demos
We aiming to touch all skills levels.

Resources
Our community counts +350 members (learners/students, practicing and professional security specialists) and is rapidly growing after our kickoff event 20.04.2022.
We appreciate support in the form of a location to host the events. Food and drinks are always a plus, and contribution on topics is more than welcome. This is resources we would be happy to offer to support our society to strengthen the IT-security practice and competency.
For the first event, 20.04.2022 (Community Kickoff), Microsoft offered to sponsor our initiative with location, food, and drinks.
