I am honored to have received the request, trust, and support to establish and organize the Microsoft Security User Group with a great team of talented people. This article will detail the purpose, plan, and resources for this community and how you can engage.

Purpose

The purpose is to support our society to strengthen the IT-security practice and competency. By create a safe meeting space for people across industries, organizations, companies, and specializations who are curious and eager to learn, share, discuss, and discover relevant problem statements within cyber security and Microsoft technology.

Plan

Microsoft Cybersecurity Reference Architecture, where to start?

The plan is to systematically break down the Microsoft Cybersecurity Reference Architecture through events to support the journey to grow the participants cybersecurity knowledge and skillset. The form will vary between:

  • Presentations
  • Workshops
  • Hackathons
  • Technical demos

We aiming to touch all skills levels.

See the model below for a draft of estimated events and tentative topics.

NB! Topics are subject to changes due to requests from the community.

Resources

Our community counts +350 members (learners/students, practicing and professional security specialists) and is rapidly growing after our kickoff event 20.04.2022.
